Saint John's sophomore forward/midfielder Daniel Bruckbauer (Fargo, N.D./Shanley) made his first start of the season and scored the game-winning goal, his third in his last four games played, in the 61st minute of the Johnnies’ 1-0 win at Bethel Oct. 10.
The victory moved SJU (9-1-2, 4-0-1 MIAC) into first place in the MIAC standings and extended the Johnnies' unbeaten streak to 10 games (8-0-2 record).
Bruckbauer is currently third on the team in both goals (3) and points (7).
SJU plays host to Gustavus Adolphus (5-3-3, 0-3-3 MIAC) for a rematch of the 2014 MIAC Playoff Championship game at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Haws Field.
