Saint John’s senior wide receiver Josh Bungum (Paynesville, Minn.) caught six passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns in the Johnnies’ 49-27 Homecoming win over then-No. 20 Gustavus Adolphus Oct. 17.
The 100-yard receiving game was his first since Sept. 21, 2013 (104 yards on 12 catches at St. Thomas) and the fourth of his career. The performance enabled Bungum to move within 40 yards of Lee Clintsman (2001-04) for seventh in school history with 2,201 career receiving yards. He is also 18 catches behind Adam Herbst (1995-98) for second place with 189 for his career.
The No. 13/14 Johnnies (5-1, 3-1 MIAC) travel to face Carleton (1-6, 0-5 MIAC) for a 1 p.m. game on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Northfield.
