Saint John's junior first baseman/pitcher Connor Cline (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) batted .615 (8-for-13), including a perfect 5-for-5 with runners in scoring position, and drove in five runs as the Johnnies went 3-1 last week.

He went 4-for-7 with three RBI in SJU's sweep of Hamline April 18 and 4-for-6 with two RBI and a double in a split at Saint Mary's April 21. Cline took the ball in game two against the Pipers and pitched a virtual shutout, allowing an unearned run in the Johnnies' 6-1 victory. He struck out six and allowed three hits (.136 avg.) in the complete-game effort. Cline is now batting .450 (18-for-40) with 10 RBI in 11 MIAC games and touts a 2-1 record with a 2.50 ERA, .238 opponent batting average and 18 strikeouts in three starts on the mound (18.0 innings).

The Johnnies (20-10, 8-4 MIAC) host St. Olaf for a 2:30 p.m. this Tuesday, April 24, and travel to face Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday, April 28.
