Sophomore Casey Vangsness (Alexandria, Minn.) led all golfers with a four-under par 68, which tied his career best (67 at the par 71 Monticello C.C., 2011 SJU Spring Invitational), to lead Saint John's to a two-shot victory over NCAA Division II St. Cloud State on April 2 at St. Cloud C.C.

The ninth-ranked Johnnies shot a one-under par 287, two shots ahead of St. Cloud State (+1, 289) and 14 shots in front of SJU Blue (+13, 301).

Vangsness and the rest of the Johnnies return to action with a triangular against Concordia-Moorhead and Wisconsin-Eau Claire this Friday, April 6. The meet is scheduled for noon at Territory G.C. in St. Cloud.
