Saint John’s University sophomore Andrew Latzke (Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka) averaged 20 points per game in last weekend’s tournament at St. Cloud State. Latzke posted a career-high 27 points, 21 of which came from behind the arc, to help SJU win 81-79 over MSU-Moorhead and give head coach Jim Smith his 700th career victory on Nov. 21. He posted 13 points in the 78-71 overtime loss to St. Cloud State the night before. He currently leads the team in scoring (17.6 ppg.) and three-point field goals made (13).
The Johnnies (1-2, 0-0 MIAC) continue non-conference play by traveling to face Wis.-Eau Claire this Friday, Nov. 27, in Oshkosh, Wis. SJU will then play the host Titans on Saturday, Nov. 28.
