Senior Jordan Theisen (Sauk Rapids, Minn./St. Cloud Apollo) won the MIAC indoor title in the pole vault with a height of 4.45 meters, SJU's first in the event since Brayden Wagner '09 in 2009, during the first day of the MIAC Championships Feb. 23 at Macalester’s Leonard Center in St. Paul.
Theisen finished fourth, 1.25 inches from third place and All-MIAC honors (top three individually, champion relay), in the high jump on Saturday.
SJU finished fifth out of 11 teams at the meet.
Theisen’s season-best height of 4.55 meters in the pole vault is currently 54th in NCAA Division III this season.
SJU travels east to compete at the Wisconsin-Stevens Point Qualifier at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday, March 3.
