Saint John's senior wide receiver Evan Clark (Phoenix, Ariz./Apollo) caught six passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns Sept. 30 in the 21-13 win over Bethel. His second touchdown, which covered 86 yards, is tied for the fifth-longest pass play in school history.
He now has 14 receptions for 284 and four touchdowns in the last two meetings with Bethel and needs two receiving touchdowns to crack SJU's top-10 list.
Sixteen of his 25 career touchdowns covered 25 yards or more, including 13 over 40 yards. In total, Clark averages 20 yards each time he touches the football (2,658 yards on 133 touches: 201 yards on 25 carries; 1,464 yards on 74 receptions; and 993 yards on 34 kick returns).
