Junior running back Dusty Krueger (Lake Elmo, Minn./Hill-Murray) totaled 177 all-purpose yards, including the game-winning one-yard touchdown run on the game’s final play in SJU’s 32-31 win over Wisconsin-Platteville No. 19 in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
He rushed for 73 yards on 20 carries, including 63 yards in the second half alone, caught five passes for 24 yards and returned three kickoffs for 80 yards. Krueger has 511 all-purpose yards, including 343 yards and five touchdowns on 58 carries (5.9 avg.), in his last three games.
The ninth-ranked Johnnies (10-1, 7-1 MIAC) travel to face No. 4/5 Wisconsin-Oshkosh (10-1, 6-1 WIAC) in the NCAA second round at noon Saturday, Nov. 26.
