Saint John's senior Mack Farley (Lakeville, Minn./South) earned medalist honors out of 91 golfers with a 215 (+1) at the Twin Cities Classic Sept. 24-26. He was named the MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week Sept. 27 for his performance.

No. 24 SJU entered the final round Sept. 26 in second place by three shots but carded the day's best round, a 303 (+23), to post a three-round total of 883 (+27) and win the 16-team tournament by seven shots.

The win was the third of his career and first in a full-fledged college tournament. He was the top individual at both the 2014 and 2015 Saint John's-St. Thomas dual meets.

Farley's four-under par 68 on Sept. 24 was the best round by a Johnnie at the Links at Northfork on record (since Fall 2000).

The Johnnies wrap up their fall schedule Oct. 8-10 at the MIAC Championship held at Bunker Hills G.C. in Coon Rapids. The tournament's winner earns an automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division III Championship May 16-19 at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
