Saint John's senior thrower Randy Perez (Murrieta, Calif./Vista Murrieta) continued his success in the javelin, improving on last weekend's mark by 5.55 meters to win the event with a distance of 57.09 meters April 10 at the Saint John's Invitational, which was just his second collegiate competition.

The throw is the best in the MIAC this spring and is good for 20th in NCAA Division III.

The Johnnies are next up at the Concordia-St. Paul Invitational this Saturday, April 16. The meet is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Sea Foam Stadium.
