Saint John's junior forward Justin Hochsprung (Alexandria, Minn.) tallied four even-strength points (1g/3a) in the Johnnies’ split with Augsburg over the weekend.

He tallied SJU’s lone goal in the 3-1 loss at Augsburg Thursday night and assisted on the last three goals, including the game-tying and game-winning goals, in the Johnnies’ 4-2 win Saturday night. SJU erased a 2-1 third-period deficit with the three goals in the final 7:49 to earn a much-needed win and avoid a 0-4 start in MIAC play.

Hochsprung currently leads the team with a plus/minus rating of +5 and is second with seven points (1g/6a) in seven games, having already matched last year’s total in assists (which is tied for second in the MIAC). He entered the 2012-13 season with 11 points (3g/8a) in 44 games.

The Johnnies return to action in three weeks with a weekend series at Concordia (Wis.) Dec. 7-8 in Mequon, Wis.
