Saint John's University junior Dustin Franta (La Crescent, Minn.) led the Johnnies with an eighth-place finish overall (25:17) at the 2009 NCAA Central Regional on Saturday, Nov. 14. The Johnnies finished eighth out of the 25 teams competing.

Franta will represent SJU at the 2009 NCAA Division III Championship next Saturday, Nov. 21, hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College (Ohio). The race is scheduled for 11 a.m. (CST) at Highland Hills G.C. in Cleveland, Ohio.
