Saint John's sophomore Austin Kottke (New Prague, Minn.) tied for second out of 111 golfers as SJU finished second out of 21 teams at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational April 1. The second day of the tournament was cancelled due to cold and extremely-windy conditions Saturday, so Friday's round served as the final scores.

Kottke shot a collegiate-best one-under par 71 Friday and is now even through the first two rounds played this spring. 

The Johnnies return to action April 17-18 at the Gustavus Adolphus Invitational. The first round is scheduled to be held at the Ridges at Sand Creek at Jordan, followed by 36 holes the following day at Le Sueur C.C.
