He batted .600 (6-for-10) with runners on base and .667 (4-for-6) with runners in scoring position on the week, while the rest of the team batted .253 (20-for-79) and .207 (12-for-58), respectively.
The lefty is a .500 hitter in two specialty categories so far this season: against fellow lefties (4-for-8) and with runners in scoring position (7-for-14).
He leads the team with a current eight-game hitting streak and is batting .500 (14-for-28) with a .964 slugging percentage, seven runs scored, five doubles, a triple, two home runs and nine RBI during the stretch.
The Johnnies (11-9, 2-2 MIAC) travel to face Bethel for a 2:30 p.m. doubleheader on Wednesday, April 8, at Hargis Park in Arden Hills. The pair of games were originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, but was postponed and rescheduled due to the forecasted cold weather.
