Saint John's senior Matt Scherber (Royalton, Minn./Sartell-St. Stephen) became the first Johnnie to earn a trip to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships since 2010 (Dustin Franta '12) when the field was announced Nov. 17.

He led the Johnnies in 14th place individually with a time of 25:29 to earn his second All-Region (top 35) honor as SJU finished eighth out of 26 teams at the NCAA Central Regional Nov. 16 in Northfield.

The men's race is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, on the campus of Hanover College in Hanover, Ind.
