With the Saint John's soccer team needing at least a tie to earn a berth to the four-team MIAC Playoffs, junior forward David Wee (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) rose to the occasion with five points (2g/1a) in the regular-season finale, a 5-0 win at Concordia-Moorhead Nov. 2. He assisted on the Johnnies' first goal, the game-winner, in the 30th minute (29:35) and then added a pair of goals, 3:02 apart, in the second half for good measure to give SJU a 3-0 lead. Wee was named the MIAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week Nov. 4 for his performance.
Wee ended the regular season as the Johnnies' leader in goals with seven and second with 18 points, as well as fifth in the MIAC (conference games only) in both goals (5) and points (13).
