Saint John's University sophomore midfielder Michael Coborn started the 2011 season right where he left off with 12 points (4g/4a) in the Johnnies’ first three matches. He tallied an assist in the 2-0 win over Minnesota-Morris Sept. 1 and then proceeded to score SJU’s first two goals in each of its wins over the weekend.
 
Coborn posted two goals and two assists in the 4-3 win over Concordia (Wis.) Sept. 3 and added two more goals and an assist in the 3-2 win over the Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.) Sept. 4. He assisted on both of the weekend’s game-winning goals.

He has 22 points (9g/4a) in his last five matches going back to last season, including five goals in 2010’s final two matches.

The Johnnies (3-0, 0-0 MIAC) play host to Wisconsin-Superior for a 5 p.m. match this Friday, Sept. 9, at George Durenberger Field in Collegeville.
