Mitchell Dockendorf (St. Stephen, Minn./Sartell-St. Stephen) recorded quite the debut, as the freshman won three events as Saint John's opened its 2017-18 swimming and diving season with a win out of four teams Nov. 4 at the Hamline Invitational in St. Paul.
He was the first of three Johnnies to touch the wall with a time of 1:49.85 in the 200-yard freestyle, and placed first in both the 100-yard backstroke (54.55) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.45).
Dockendorf was also a member of the Johnnies' second-place, 200-yard medley relay team.
SJU returns to St. Paul this Saturday, Nov. 11, for the Macalester Invitational. The meet is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Leonard Center.
