Saint John's University sophomore midfielder Matt Carson (Waconia, Minn.) made sure he was at the right place, at the right time, in last Saturday's match against No. 18 St. Olaf. His first collegiate goal in the 74th minute proved to be the game-winner as the Johnnies upset the Oles 1-0 in Collegeville.

Sophomore midfielder Michael Coborn (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) dribbled the ball around the left end and centered a shot to freshman Zane Heinselman (River Falls, Wis.), who then ricocheted a shot off an Ole directly to Carson.

St. Olaf was ranked fourth in the latest National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA) North Region rankings and No. 18 in the latest D3kicks.com national poll.

The Johnnies return to action this Sunday, Oct. 9, at Wartburg (Iowa). The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Waverly, Iowa.
