MIAC Release

FARMINGTON, Minn. – Saint John's freshman William Andrus (St. George, Utah/Homeschool) was named the MIAC Men's Golf Co-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Andrus tied Bethel's Sander Ohe for 15th with a three-round total of 214 (-2) to lead the MIAC as SJU finished fourth out of 15 teams Sept. 20-21 at the Royals' Minnesota Golf Classic. He carded a two-over par 74 in Sunday's opening round and followed it with a 69 (-3) later that day and finished with a one-under par 71 Monday morning. 

Andrus tied for fourth in the tournament – second among NCAA Division III golfers – with 13 birdies and is averaging a 73.6 through his first five collegiate rounds.

The Johnnies host their annual fall invitational this Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27. Saturday's opening round begins at 1 p.m. at St. Cloud C.C., followed by an 8 a.m. start Sunday at Blackberry Ridge G.C. in Sartell.
