COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's junior defensive end
Charlie King (Faribault, Minn./Bethlehem Academy) was named The House Food & Tap's SJU Athlete of the Week on Monday, Oct. 5.
King totaled six tackles (three solo), including 3.5 for a loss and 3.0 sacks in the Johnnies' 42-16 win over then-No. 7 Bethel on Saturday (Oct. 3) in Collegeville. All 3.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks came in the first half as SJU held BU to 106 yards for a 21-7 halftime lead.
The three-sack game was the first for SJU since All-American

King currently leads the Johnnies in both tackles for loss (6.0) and sacks (3.5), and is fourth in tackles (15).
Third-ranked SJU (4-0, 3-0 MIAC) visits Macalester (3-1, 2-1 MIAC) at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Macalester Stadium in St. Paul.
