Round 1 Results
HAM LAKE, Minn. – Saint John's Blue opened the 2025 fall season with a four-shot lead following the first round of the Augsburg Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Majestic Oaks G.C. (par 72).
SJU's contingent, which consists of all eight freshmen, carded an 8-over 296 on Saturday, four shots ahead of St. Olaf in second (+12, 300) and 12 ahead of St. Scholastica and Wisconsin-Superior in third (+20, 308).
Sunday's final round begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
After bogeying the first hole of his collegiate career,
Austin Roloff (Minneapolis, Minn./Spring Lake Park) carded 11 pars and five birdies, including three in a row on Nos. 13-15, to shoot a 3-under par 69 and finish day one atop the 66-man leaderboard. Roloff and Concordia-Moorhead's Ryan Engel (-1) are the only two players under par.
Tim Sexton (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) followed with 12 pars and a pair of birdies to sit in a tie for 10th with a 2-over 74.
Lukas Ehmke (Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge) shot a 76 for 21st, while
Braxton Berlin (Lake City, Minn.) carded three birdies with his 77 for 23rd.
Ryan Liveringhouse (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) rounded out the top five for SJU Blue with an 8-over 80 for 31st.
Lincoln Smith (Minneapolis, Minn./Spring Lake Park) led the Johnnie individuals with a 75 for 16th. Smith shot even or better on 15 holes with a trio of three-shot birdies.
