ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Saint John's tennis started its spring-break trip with a 7-0 shutout of Western Connecticut State on Sunday, March 16, at Sanlando Park.

The Johnnies (2-2 overall) claimed the doubles point with two wins out of the three matches and cruised to straight-set victories in all six singles bouts, including four 6-0 sets.

The Wolves' (0-1 overall) lone win was at No. 1 doubles, 6-2. The Johnnies won the other two doubles matches with a 6-0 score each.

SJU faces Wisconsin-La Crosse (10-2 overall) at 2:30 p.m. ET Monday, March 17, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
