Conlin & O’Connor Earn All-Region Accolades

United Soccer Coaches Release

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Saint John's University senior defender Foster Conlin (Mooresville, N.C./Mounds View) and sophomore forward Ronan O'Connor (Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray) were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region IX third team on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Both honorees were named All-MIAC Nov. 10.

Conlin tied for fourth on the team with 11 points (3g/5a) in 20 games, all starts. He played 1,714 minutes for the Johnnies this fall, which was second on the team to O'Connor's 1,722. He contributed to five Johnnie shutouts this season and helped the defense to top-four numbers in the MIAC in goals against (11), goals against average (1.30), scoring margin (+0.90) and save percentage (.783). A 2024 All-MIAC honorable mention selection, Conlin ended his collegiate career with 13 points (3g/7a) in 61 games.

O'Connor is still ranked in NCAA Division III's top 10 in six statistical categories: second in points (50); fourth in total goals (20); fifth in game-winning goals (6) and points per game (2.43); and seventh in assists (10) and goals per game (0.95).

He broke his way into the SJU record books in his sophomore campaign, claiming the program's single-season scoring record that held since 1974 when Ken Potts '74 scored 19. His 50 points finished second behind Potts' 56 in '74. 

O'Connor played and started in all 10 MIAC games, tying for second in the league in points (17), fourth in goals (6) and fifth in assists (5) in conference play. His seven points (3g/1a) at Saint Mary's on Oct. 28 were tied for first in a single game this season. He was also one of five players to net a hat trick in league play and was selected as the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week three times. 

He has 64 points (26g/12a) in two seasons and is tied with Michael Coborn '14 for fifth in program history in goals, while his 64 points are tied with Andy Witchger '05 and Joe Schmidt '04 for seventh. 

The Johnnies tied for fifth in the conference with a 5-4-1 record (13-5-3 overall) and made their 14th appearance in the MIAC Playoffs (established in 2003) and 11th in the last 13 seasons in 2025. The 13 wins were the program's most since 2014 (13-7-0).

SJU currently leads Division III in assists per game (3.48); is second in total assists (73); third in corner kicks per game (7.52); fourth in points per game (8.90); fifth in total points (187); and 16th scoring offense (2.71 gpg.).
