ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Saint John's tennis dropped an 8-1 decision to Wheaton (Ill.) on Thursday, March 7, at Sanlando Park.

Junior Cooper Anderson (St. Paul, Minn./White Bear Lake) registered the lone win for the Johnnies (1-4 overall) at No. 6 singles via the super-breaker: 6-4, 5-7 and 10-8.

The Thunder (7-3 overall) won all three doubles matches by a five-point margin or better and the other five singles matches in straight sets.

SJU completes its spring-break trip with an 11 a.m. ET match against Ursinus (Pa.) on Friday, March 8, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
