Saint John's visits Hamline for a 5 p.m. dual meet on Friday, Nov. 8, in St. Paul.

A LOOK AT THE JOHNNIES: Saint John's won 13 of the 16 events in a 192-102 dual victory over St. Olaf last Saturday (Nov. 2) at the Warner Palaestra Pool in Collegeville. The Johnnies totaled 29 top-three times on the afternoon.

Senior Liam Noble (Plymouth, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) led the Johnnies with three individual wins. He took first in the 100- (55.61) and 200-yard (2:06.45) backstrokes, as well as the 100-yard butterfly (54.50) and was the first leg of SJU's first-place 200-yard medley relay (1:38.36; Noble, Megaw, Philion, Reuter).

Senior Carter Larson (Sartell, Minn./Sartell-St. Stephen) nearly did the same by winning the 100- (47.51) and 1,000-yard (10:13.50) freestyles, and tied with junior Carsten Reuter (St. Cloud, Minn./Tech) for the victory in the 50-yard freestyle at 21.92 seconds.

Junior Brayden Slavik (Green Isle, Minn./Chaska) claimed first in the 200- (1:45.26) and 500-yard (4:52.32) freestyles, while sophomore Cody Watts (St. Cloud, Minn./Tech) recorded the top score in both the 1-(219.55) and 3-meter (216.95) dives.

Junior Clay Megaw (Monticello, Minn.) served as the other individual win for SJU in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.06) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:14.07; Slavik, Colby Kern, Larson, Jackson Hovda) also reached the top of the podium.

ANOTHER DIVER OF THE WEEK: Watts was named the MIAC Men's Diving Athlete of the Week on Tuesday (Nov. 5) for his performance against the Oles. The weekly honor is the second of Watts' collegiate career and SJU's third-consecutive in diving so far this season. He achieved All-MIAC distinction (top three) with a third-place finish in the 1-meter dive as a freshman at the 2024 MIAC Championships and took fifth on the 3-meter board.

LAST YEAR'S DUAL: The Johnnies competed in an unscored dual meet against three Pipers (two swimmers and a diver) last Oct. 27 (2023) in Collegeville.

Slavik won two events, the 200-yard backstroke (1:59.22) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:17.50), and Watts – the MIAC Men's Diver of the Week at the time – swept both the 1- (224.85) and 3-meter (217.80) dives.

SJU totaled six other first-place marks/times and swam uncontested in the two relays.
