400 IM Prelim Results

INDIANAPOLIS – Saint John's senior Brayden Slavik (Green Isle, Minn./Chaska) finished 23rd in the 400-yard individual medley at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday, March 19.

The top-16 times from the morning prelims advanced to tonight's A (1-8) and B (9-16) finals.

Slavik battled the waves again in lane one of the first heat and posted a time of 4:08.88, which was over 11 seconds slower than his 3:57.55 he used to win his third-consecutive MIAC title in the event last month.

He finished 33rd out of 35 competitors in the 500-yard freestyle yesterday (Wednesday, March 18).

Slavik competes in the event he qualified for – the 1,650-yard freestyle – at 10:55 a.m. CT Saturday, March 21. He earned All-America honorable mention with a 15th-place finish in the event at last year's NCAA Championships.
