MIAC Release

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's senior Eli Grabinski (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) was named the MIAC Men's Diver of the Week for the third time this season on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Grabinski swept both diving events – 274.40 in the 1-meter event and 277.30 on the 3-meter board – as Saint John's finished second out of six teams at Gustavus Adolphus' Grace Goblirsch Invitational on Saturday (Nov. 23). The MIAC weekly honor is the ninth of Grabinski's career.

A three-time MIAC Men's Diver of the Year and four-time MIAC champion, Grabinski qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the 1-meter dive in Oct. 18's season-opening win over Minnesota-Morris and achieved the feat on the 3-meter board Oct. 26 at Macalester. The NCAA appearance will be Grabinski's fourth later this winter.

The Johnnies return to the pool with Division II St. Cloud State's Rochester Invitational on Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 5-7, in Rochester. Each day of competition begins with prelims at 9 a.m., followed by finals at 5 p.m.
