NCAA Release

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University junior Lloyd Young (Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy) received his second-consecutive, at-large selection to the NCAA Division III Championships when the field was announced this afternoon (Nov. 13).

The men's race begins at 11 a.m. CT Saturday, Nov. 19, at Forest Akers G.C. in East Lansing, Mich.

Young earned his second All-Region honor (top 35 individually) thanks to a 10th-place finish (24:53) out of 209 runners as SJU claimed seventh out of 28 teams Nov. 12 at the NCAA North Regional in Northfield.

He claimed 52nd out of 293 competitors at the 2021 NCAA Championships in Louisville, Ky.

Each of the 10 regional champions earned an automatic bid to nationals and 22 teams received an at-large berth. In addition, 70 individuals, not on qualifying teams, earned automatic selection based on their finish at the regional.
