COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's senior goaltender
Mac Berglove (Elk River, Minn.) was named the MIAC Men's Hockey Athlete of the Week on Monday, Dec. 6.
Berglove posted a 1.00 GAA and a .964 save percentage (53 saves) as SJU extended its win streak to four games with a sweep, 5-1 and 4-1, of Gustavus Adolphus last weekend. The pair of wins lifted the Johnnies (6-4-1, 4-2-0 MIAC) into first place in the conference standings.
He is 4-0 with a 1.24 GAA and a .949 save percentage (94 saves) during the win streak (6-2-1 with a 1.52 GAA and a .939 save percentage overall). Berglove currently leads the MIAC in wins (4) and GAA (1.31) in conference play, and is first in save percentage (.939) and wins (6) overall.
The Johnnies return to non-conference play with a pair of road games this weekend in Wisconsin, beginning with a 7 p.m. puck-drop against Concordia on Friday, Dec. 10, in Mequon, Wis. SJU then faces Lawrence at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in Appleton, Wis.
