COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Tom Freeman '08 formally begins his tenure as the Saint John's University's J-Club president today (July 1, 2020). Freeman replaces Vic Moore '72, whose five-year tenure ended June 30.

A four-year forward for the Johnnie hockey team, Freeman served as an assistant captain, tied for the team lead with 10 goals and was named All-MIAC honorable mention as a senior in 2007-08. He totaled 57 points (32g/25a), including seven game-winning goals, and a plus/minus rating of +20 in 75 career games.

Freeman is a government relations director at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and a consulting professional within Faegre Drinker Consulting. He represents businesses, nonprofit organizations and trade and professional associations before the Minnesota Legislature, state agencies and local units of government.

Founded in 1959, the J-Club is a dues-based booster organization of former Johnnie student-athletes, parents and fans, and plays a key role in support of the SJU varsity programs, intramurals and club sports.
