ORLANDO, Minn. - Saint John's tennis dropped a 4-3 decision to Division II Stonehill (Mass.) on Wednesday, March 6, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
The Johnnies (2-4 overall) won Nos. 1-3 singles, but the Skyhawks (6-2 overall) swept all three doubles matches. Like SJU's competition against NCAA Division I opponents earlier in the week, the three doubles matches counted as one point toward the final score.

Ryan Meger (Stillwater, Minn./Mahtomedi) won via the super-breaker at No. 1 [6-7 (1-7), 6-4, 11-9] and No. 2 singles (3-6, 6-4, 6-4), respectively. Senior
Jonah Punnoose (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) won at No. 3 in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-2.

Hunter Krebsbach (St. Paul, Minn./Mounds View) suffered a loss at No. 4 via the super-breaker [1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 5-10].
The Johnnies end their spring-break trip with a 7 p.m. ET match against NAIA St. Francis (Ill.) on Thursday, March 7, at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando.
