ST. PETER, Minn. – No. 15 Gustavus Adolphus shut out Saint John's tennis 9-0 on Saturday, March 23, in St. Peter.

The Gusties (9-3, 5-0 MIAC) surrendered three points to SJU (4-6, 1-1 MIAC) in doubles competition and won the six singles matches in straight sets. 

Sophomore Thomas Gillach (Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes) saw his four-match win streak come to an end at No. 1 singles, 6-0 and 6-4.

The Johnnies play host to Macalester for a 2 p.m. match next Sunday, March 31, at Sta-Fit in Sartell.
