WINONA, Minn. – Saint John's tennis returned to conference play and posted a 9-0 win at Saint Mary's on Friday, March 23, at the Winona Tennis Center.
Senior
Tim Larson (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) and freshman
Thomas Gillach (Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes) won their ninth straight match at No. 1 doubles, and improve to 10-1 (3-0 MIAC) on the year, with an 8-4 victory for SJU (9-1, 3-0 MIAC).
Larson lost one game in a straight-set win (6-1, 6-0) at No. 1, while Gillach won at No. 3 (6-3, 6-4). Juniors
Ryan Meger (Stillwater, Minn./Mahtomedi) and
Hunter Krebsbach (St. Paul, Minn./Mounds View) won their matches at No. 2 and 4, respectively, thanks to a first-set tie-breaker against the Cardinals (4-10, 0-7 MIAC).

Jonah Punnoose (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) improved to 8-2 (2-1 MIAC) in dual play with a win at No. 5 and freshman
Nate Jordre (St. Cloud, Minn./Tech) won his seventh straight match (6-4 and 6-2 at No. 6) to move to 11-1.
