Box Score

ST. PAUL, Minn. – No. 6 Saint John's scored the game's final seven points to earn a 69-62 win, its 13th in a row, at Hamline on Wednesday, Jan. 24, in St. Paul.

SJU (15-1, 11-0 MIAC) led by as much as 16 (46-30) with 15:29 remaining in the game and by six (62-56) with 3:12 left, but Hamline (9-9, 5-8 MIAC) drilled back-to-back three-pointers to tie it at the 2:17 mark.

Both teams exchanged turnovers before sophomore wing Jubie Alade (Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) took over for SJU. Alade was fouled in the act of shooting with 58.5 seconds left and made both free throws. Then, after a missed HU shot on the other end, Alade extended the Johnnies' lead to 67-62 thanks to a traditional three-point play with 13.4 seconds remaining. He ended the night with 15 points and eight rebounds.
