COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's tennis dropped a 7-2 decision to Bethel on Saturday, April 8, at the Chang Tennis Complex in Collegeville.

The two teams exchanged a pair of double matches decided by a tie-breaker, with sophomore Hunter Krebsbach (St. Paul, Minn./Mounds View) and freshman Ben McKimm (Hutchinson, Minn.) winning at No. 3 (9-8/7-4) for SJU (2-11, 1-4 MIAC).

Junior Tim Larson (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) won the lone singles match for the Johnnies at No. 1, his third in a row, in straight sets (6-4, 6-0). The Royals (14-4, 3-2 MIAC) won the other five matches in straight sets.

The Johnnies host St. Thomas (9-1, 4-0 MIAC) for a noon match on Sunday, April 9, in Collegeville. In the event of rain, the match would be moved indoors to noon at Sta-Fit (formerly Fitness Evolution) in Sartell.
