FARGO, N.D. – Saint John's tennis opened its MIAC schedule with a 6-3 loss to Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Courts Plus in Fargo, N.D.
The Johnnies (0-4, 0-1 MIAC) split the six singles matches, thanks to two wins via super-breaker, but dropped all three doubles matches to the Cobbers (1-3, 1-1 MIAC) in the loss.

Ryan Meger (Stillwater, Minn./Mathomedi) earned a hard-fought win at No. 2 singles thanks to the super-breaker: 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 10-8.
Sophomore
Hunter Krebsbach (St. Paul, Minn./Mounds View) won his bout in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) at No. 3, the least-stressful match of the six, and classmate
Jonah Punnoose (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) won his third consecutive match at No. 4: 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 10-5.

Tim Larson (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) suffered a heart-breaking defeat at No. 1 singles with an 11-9 loss in the super-breaker. Freshman
Jess Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) lost at No. 5 due to a tie-breaker in the second set and sophomore
Tom Prittinen (Virginia, Minn.) lost at No. 6 with identical 7-5 scores.
The Johnnies travel the opposite direction for a 2:30 p.m. match at Carleton next Sunday, Feb. 26, at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville.
