ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Hamline scored four unanswered goals in the third period in a 5-2 win over No. 15 Saint John's on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.
Mitch McPherson and Kyle Wendorf scored twice for the Pipers (3-2, 1-0 MIAC) in the third period. SJU entered the game with a 9-2 scoring advantage in the third period this season.

Evan Okeley (Carmel, Ind.) gave SJU (5-1, 1-1 MIAC) a 1-0 lead with his first goal of the season 8:44 into the game, with assists going to junior forward
Robb Stautz (Roseville, Minn.) and freshman defenseman
Travis Brown (Otsego, Minn.).
Taylor Trapp tied it for HU with his first collegiate goal 5:19 later, but junior forward
Matt Colford (Champlin, Minn.) gave the lead back to the Johnnies with a top-shelf goal on the power play at the 13:42 mark of the second period.
Freshman
Tanner Dufault (Kasson, Minn.) had a goal disallowed, what would have been the first of his career, due to an SJU penalty with 5:19 remaining. The goal would have tied the game at 3-3. Wendorf lit the lamp for the second time 1:07 into the ensuing power play to give the visitors a 4-2 lead. McPherson ended the scoring on an unassisted, empty-net goal with 2.2 seconds remaining.

Mac Berglove (Elk River, Minn.) made 26 saves in the loss for SJU, which was without three starters Saturday night due to injury: 2017 All-MIAC first-team selections
