Game 2 Box ScoreFORT MYERS, Fla. – Saint John's baseball returned to the win column with a doubleheader sweep of Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.), 10-0 and 8-0, on Thursday, March 24, in Fort Myers.
Senior first baseman/pitcher
Patrick Strey (Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview) went 7-for-7 with two doubles, a triple, five RBI and five runs scored in the sweep. He has 13 extra-base hits, including 10 doubles, and is the only Johnnie that has reached base safely in all 14 games this season.
SJU (10-4 overall) did all of its damage in the second (5), third (1) and fourth (4) innings of game one. Strey and a fellow Eastview High School graduate, junior third baseman
Derek Schiebel, collected three hits apiece. Schiebel drove in two with his third triple of the season in the second inning and Strey tallied two doubles.

Marcus Barone (Eden Prairie, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) improved to 2-0 with the win. He allowed two hits and struck out three in five innings. Freshman
Bennett Wiggins (St. Anthony, Minn.) and junior
Rhyan Bett (West Covina, Calif./Bishop Amat) pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the combined shutout.
The Knights (5-13 overall) committed seven errors as SJU scored six runs (one earned) in the first four innings of game two.
Freshman
Jake Dickmeyer (Woodbury, Minn.) earned his first collegiate win in his first collegiate start, scattering five hits in six innings. He struck out three and walked one. Junior
Sam Ferguson (Arcadia, Wis.) pitched a scoreless seventh inning to complete the shutout.
The Johnnies end their spring-break trip with a 9 a.m. EDT doubleheader against Millikin (Ill.) on Friday, March 25, at Terry Park.
