ST. PETER, Minn. – Saint John's tennis suffered a 9-0 defeat at the hands of No. 16 Gustavus Adolphus on Thursday, April 23, in St. Peter.

The Gusties (15-10, 7-0 MIAC) won all six singles matches in straight sets, allowing only eight points.

Junior Ben Lahren (Wausau, Wis./West) and freshman Tim Larson (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) suffered their first MIAC loss at No. 2 doubles, 8-6. They are now 9-2 (7-1 MIAC). Junior Joey Evavold (Andover, Minn./Anoka) and sophomore Steven Wirtz (Overland Park, Kan./Bishop Miege) also experienced a narrow 8-6 loss at No. 3.

The Johnnies (8-9, 3-5 MIAC) wrap up their 2015 tennis season with a 1 p.m. match at Carleton on Sunday, April 26, in Northfield.
