SARTELL, Minn. – Saint John's closed its non-conference schedule with a 6-3 win over St. Scholastica in the home finale on Sunday, April 19, at Fitness Evolution in Sartell.

Junior Jack Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) improved to 9-7 at No. 1 singles with a straight-set win, 7-5 and 6-2. Freshman Tim Larson (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) also posted a 7-5 win in his first set en route to a 6-4 victory in the second.

Junior Ben Lahren (Wausau, Wis./West) won at No. 4 (6-4 and 6-2), while sophomore Steven Wirtz (Overland Park, Kan./Bishop Miege) improved to 5-1 at No. 5 (6-3 and 6-0).

Hansen and classmate Andrew Nagel (Maple Grove, Minn.) recorded an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles, while Lahren and Larson won their ninth match of the season (9-1 record) at No. 2 doubles, 8-3.

The Johnnies return to their conference schedule with a 3:45 p.m. match on Thursday, April 23, at Gustavus Adolphus.
