Senior Michael Coborn (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) took the free kick following a Macalester foul and the ball pin-balled off a few players in the box before finding Wee's foot. A LOOK AT THE KNIGHTS: Goals from All-Americans Branden McGarrity and Neil Bartholomay proved gave Carleton (7-1-2, 2-1-0 MIAC) a 2-0 non-conference victory over Northwestern Oct. 1. LAST YEAR'S MEETINGS: SJU went 1-1 against Carleton last fall by earning a 2-1 overtime win at home during the regular season before falling by a 2-0 score in the MIAC Playoff semifinals. Junior Zane Heinselman (River Falls, Wis.) scored his third goal of the season, off a rebound, 4:09 into the first overtime last Sept. 14 (2012). SJU got on the scoreboard first when Coborn blasted a free kick at the keeper's head and the deflection went directly to the foot of Wee. The Knights tied the match at 1-1 off a free kick, just outside the box, from Alex Voorhes at 66:46 of the match. Four minutes into overtime, junior Ian Scudder (Sherwood, Ore.) dribbled up the left sideline and fed Coborn in the box, who then turned the corner and slid a pass into the middle of the goal box where a hard-charging Heinselman put it away. Senior Ryan Brutger (St. Cloud, Minn./Apollo) made six saves in the victory, including a game-saving stop off the foot of McGarrity with one second remaining in regulation.
