Johnnies End Season With Loss to Carleton

LAKEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's ended its 2011 season with an 8-1 loss to Carleton on Saturday, April 30.

Sophomore Fabricio Moncada (Managua, Nicaragua/Lincoln International Academy) tallied the Johnnies' lone win at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-4) to finish the year 9-4 (5-4 MIAC).

Senior Elliott Elm (Eagan, Minn./Holy Angels) lost a hard-fought decision at No. 4 singles (6-3, 5-7, 11-9) for SJU (8-9, 2-7 MIAC).

Moncada and junior Ian Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) lost their match at No. 1 doubles by a slim 9-8 margin.

The Knights (16-4, 8-1 MIAC), ranked No. 12 in the region, won the remaining matches in straight sets.
