ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – Saint John's dropped its second straight, a 6-3 decision to Bethel on Wednesday, April 7, in Arden Hills.

Sophomore Ian Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) earned the Johnnies' lone singles win with a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 3.

Hansen then teamed up with freshman Fabricio Moncada (Managua, Nicaragua/Lincoln International Academy) to earn an 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles. Moncada suffered his first MIAC loss, 6-3 and 6-4, at No. 1 singles.

Junior Elliott Elm (Eagan, Minn./Holy Angels) and freshman Zach Shriwise (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley West) earned SJU's other win, a 9-8 (7-5) win at No. 3 doubles.

Senior Dutch Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) suffered a tough-luck loss at No. 2 singles via a close 10-8 decision in the super-breaker.

The Johnnies (6-6, 1-3 MIAC) return home to host No. 28 Gustavus Adolphus on Friday, April 9. The match is set for 5:30 p.m. at Gold's Gym in Sartell.
