SARTELL, Minn. – No. 18 Carleton surrendered a match at No. 1 singles but won the other eight in an 8-1 win over Saint John's on Sunday, Feb. 14, in Sartell.

After losing the first set 7-5, freshman Fabricio Moncada (Managua, Nicaragua/Lincoln International Academy) tallied his first collegiate win with a 6-0 shutout in the second set before his opponent defaulted the super-breaker for the Johnnies' lone victory.

The Johnnies (0-2, 0-1 MIAC) travel to face St. Scholastica on Saturday, Feb. 20. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Burns Wellness Commons in Duluth.
