Johnnies Lose Regular-Season Finale at Carleton

LAKEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's dropped its regular-season finale 8-1 at Carleton on Sunday, April 26. The match was moved indoors to the Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville due to rain.

Senior Eric Inglis (Hutchinson, Minn.) won the lone match for SJU (9-8, 5-4 MIAC) at No. 6 singles, 7-6 (7-5) and 6-3.

Freshman Ian Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) saw his five-match winning streak come to an end with a tough 6-1, 6-7 (5-7) and 10-4 loss at No. 3 singles.

Senior Mark Steelman (St. Paul, Minn./Holy Angels), who retired during the first set of his match at No. 1 singles, and junior Luke Odegaard (Forest Lake, Minn.) lost a close 9-8 (7-5) decision at No. 1 doubles.

The Johnnies return to action against an opponent to be determined at the MIAC Tournament this Friday, May 1, on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter.
