SALEM, Ore. – Saint John's finished 11th out of 19 teams at the Willamette Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3, in Salem, Ore.
Chico State (Calif.) won the men's race with 45 points, followed by Boise State (52), Willamette (113), Idaho (165) and Nebraska Wesleyan (170).
Junior Dustin Franta (La Crescent, Minn.) led the Johnnies (262 points) with a 40th-place finish (25:27). Senior Andrew Stevens (Stillwater, Minn.) finished 51st (25:37), while senior Patrick Lowder (Chanhassen, Minn./Chaska) took 64th (25:44). Junior Tom Hoffman (Mahtomedi, Minn.) and senior Ryan Noack (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) claimed claimed 66th (25:46) and 70th (25:49), respectively.
