Saint John's University junior golfer Ryan Gallagher (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) shot a two-under par 34 on the back nine to finish with a 72 (E) Sunday and take home medalist honors out of 110 golfers by two shots with a 143 (-1) at the SJU Fall Invitational Sept. 19-20. The tournament win was the first of his collegiate career.

The Johnnies won the 20-team tournament by seven shots.

Gallagher currently leads SJU with a 74.7 stroke average in seven rounds this season.

SJU returns to action with the three-day Twin Cities Classic, hosted by Gustavus, on Saturday-Monday, Sept. 26-28. The first round of competition is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at the Links at Northfork in Ramsey.
