Saint John’s junior Jack Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) had a hand in two of the Johnnies’ three wins in the 6-3 loss to St. Thomas in the MIAC tennis opener March 13.

He teamed up with classmate Andrew Nagel (Maple Grove, Minn.) to post an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles and won the lone singles match at No. 1, 6-1 and 6-2. Hansen improved to 2-5 in singles competition and 4-3 in doubles play with the wins.

The Johnnies host a pair of matches this Saturday, March 21, beginning with a 1 p.m. showdown with St. Olaf at Fitness Evolution in Sartell. SJU then takes on Northwestern for a non-conference match at 4 p.m.
