Saint John's University senior defender Joe Laue's (St. Louis Park, Minn./Holy Angels) game-winning goal with 17:15 remaining, assisted by freshman Rocky Harmon (Hudson, Wis.) and senior Michael Coborn (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral), gave SJU a 1-0 win at Augsburg Oct. 19.
The goal was Laue's first since Oct. 9, 2010, during his freshman season against Hamline; a span of 55 matches. Coincidentally, the goal against the Pipers back in 2010 was his second in as many matches, was assisted by Coborn and served as the game-winner.
The Johnnies (6-6-3, 4-2-2 MIAC) are now in fourth place in the conference standings with two regular-season matches remaining, including a 1 p.m. contest against Saint Mary's on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Haws Field in Collegeville. The top four teams in the league standings advance to the MIAC Playoffs following the regular-season finale Nov. 2.
